I have BV, and so the doctor prescribed me ‘Metrosa Gel’ Metronidazole 0.75% , in the instructions it said it is used for the treatment of the acute exacerbations of acne rosacea.
Anyone else being prescribed this for BV ? (i doubt it though, it must be the wrong medication)

Its not the wrong medication. In the clinic where I work, Metronidazole is prescribed everyday and I have even taken it for BV myself.. It comes in pill form and the gel form (which is what I use, same as you.) A lot of medications are used for different things. Like the ingredient in Rogaine that grows hair…it was first used for high blood pressure. You will be fine, but make sure you use all the medication you are supposed to or you run the risk of not entirely getting rid of the infection.
